ISABELLA STEWART GARDNER MUSEUM

Overview
This 15th century Venetian palace created at the turn of the century by Isabella Stewart Gardner, houses more than 2,500 art objects, among them works by Rembrandt, Botticelli, Raphael, Titan, and Matisse. Interior flowering courtyard and outdoor gardens are known for their botanical beauty. Guided Tours are given Tues-Fri at 2:30pm. The Museum hosts three special exhibitions per year. Enjoy concerts from September thru May. The Cafe offers a full bistro style lunch. Music has played an important role at the Gardner Museum since its opening nearly a century ago. Isabella Stewart Gardner frequently hosted concerts at the Museum and made the Gardner a meeting place for musicians from Boston and around the world. Today, the Museum's musical tradition continues with classical and jazz concerts in the Tapestry Room on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the Fall and Spring. Beautiful hand-crafted jewelry and scarves, books on art and gardening, prints, postcards and books of the Museum's preeminent collection of art and architecture are just some of the unique gift items offered for the discerning shopper.

Meeting Planners
You are invited to hold your special event at one of Boston's most unique locations—the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The Gardner Museum has been the scene of elegant entertaining since 1903, when Isabella Stewart Gardner opened her unique, Venetian-inspired museum with her own grand celebration. Today, we continue this tradition by offering organizations and individuals the opportunity to enjoy exclusive access to the museum's renowned collection while also supporting one of New England's cultural treasures. The Gardner Museum provides a magnificent setting for every occasion--from cocktail receptions and intimate luncheons to business meetings and seated dinners. With the opening of the new wing designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, the museum has been opened up to include contemporary visitor amenities and purpose-built spaces for its dynamic programming, while restoring and preserving the historic galleries and incomparable courtyard garden. We look forward to working with you to create your special event! C'est Mon Plaisir
