Founded in 1936, the ICA is the oldest non-collecting art institution in the U.S. A unique meeting place which invites you to share the pleasure of reflection, inspiration, provocation, and imagination. The ICA's brand new forward looking design offers a distinctive, flexible event space in what promises to be the architectural centerpiece of the city's waterfront. The dramatic cantilevered plan integrates the Harborwalk into the museum and produces shifting views of the harbor throughout the glass and wood building. A variety of interesting spaces are available, including the cafe with sliding glass doors that face the water, the theater with clear, translucent, or opaque backdrop, and the lobby, providing stunning views of both the city and the harbor to accommodate a range of events from intimate dinners to large receptions.
