The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) is happy to provide this overview of new, and newly renovated, restaurants by alphabetical listing:

Coming Soon:

• 606 Congress, Michael Schlow's new restaurant at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.

• Scampo (Opening March 2008) Award-winning chef Lydia Shire is known for pushing the envelope and creating an unrivaled culinary experience. Her soon-to-open Italian concept will      undoubtedly follow suit. The atmosphere will pair simple, rustic food, chic Italian design and a glorious open kitchen.

• L'Espalier (new location), as well as a second Boston location for Sel de la Terre, will open at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston (opening Summer 2008).

• Sensing at the Regent Boston at Battery Wharf in the North End (www.batterywharf.com): Sensing will offer cuisine by three-star Michelin chef, Guy Martin of Le Grand Véfour, Paris. Executive Chef: Gérard Barbin from Le Grand Véfour. The first Sensing restaurant opened in Paris in 2006 near the Jardin du Luxembourg. With 80-seats plus a 40-seat terrace overlooking Boston Harbor, the Boston location will be his first restaurant in the US. Modern and healthy seasonal menus will combine simplicity with technical mastery and feature top quality, including the best organically and locally grown, ingredients available.
