Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' most celebrated traditions comes to Boston with Afternoon Tea at Fairmont Battery Wharf. From The Savoy in London and The Plaza in New York to The Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda and The Fairmont Empress in Victoria, Fairmont has a long-standing tradition of afternoon tea and the tea service at Fairmont Battery Wharf will offer a more contemporary interpretation of this tradition.

Chef Arwi Odense has developed a creative afternoon tea menu featuring a selection of sweets and savories. The Battery Lounge Tradtional Tea includes freshly baked apricot ginger scones with strawberry preserves and Devonshire cream, tea sandwiches including Waldorf chicken salad, Harbor Point smoked salmon, cucumber and dill cream frâiche and organic egg salad. House made sweets include honey truffles using honey from the hotel's own hives, Rachida's sugar cookies, and a lemon tartlet.  The Captain William Sturgis Tea includes the traditional tea menu plus lobster crostini with cannellini bean puree and a glass of Champagne.

The tea selection is from Fairmont's proprietary tea blends created by Metropolitan Tea. For black teas, guests can choose from Fairmont Breakfast, Fairmont Earl Grey or estate-grown Margaret's Hope Darjeeling teas. If herbal or green tea is preferred, the hotel offers Genmicha Akaike, an aromatic green tea, or Kea Lani Orange Pineapple or Cascade Peppermint teas. The Fairmont Tea Collection also includes a variety of wellness teas including Energy, Equilibrium, Tranquility and High Anti-Oxidant blends.

In addition to the traditional teas, Fairmont Battery Wharf also offers a variety of tea-infused cocktails ranging from The Savoy, comprised of Berry Berry tea infused gin, cherry and Aperol; The Princess, a mixture of Antioxidant tea, bourbon, habeñero infused rum and bitter lemon soda; and The Mayakoba featuring  Tranquility tea, añejo, lemon, lime, grapefruit, Lillet Rouge and sparking wine.

The Battery Lounge Traditional Tea is $39 per person; the Captain William Sturgis Tea is $49 per person; and signature tea cocktails available from $8.  Afternoon Tea at Fairmont Battery Wharf will be served daily from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Reservations may be made by calling (617) 994-9000.
