Dress Up for Tea Time

Dress up, bring your dolls and enjoy an afternoon tea party hosted by the USS Constitution Museum. Steep yourself in American history and learn how American GirlTM Caroline Abbott exemplified heroism in the War of 1812. Stephen Krensky, author of the book "Sisters of Scituate Light," will tell us the true tale of Rebecca and Abigail who saved the day for their town in 1814. A book signing will follow the tea. superb performance during the War of 1812 forced Great Britain, and indeed all of Europe, to take the fledgling United States more seriously, initiated a fundamental change in the British-American relationship, and enabled America to maintain a robust navy even in peacetime. Book signing to follow.
