The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), is bringing "A Splash of Color" to the annual Cogan Family Foundation Vacation Week Adventures (Tuesday-Friday, April 22-25). As part of the Museum's spring "Season of Color," kids can enjoy four colorful days of art making, story hour, family tours and more. From 10 am-4 pm (and to 8 pm on Wednesday) free activities explore some of the creative ways artists have used color in their work, while special performances by SambaViva, New England's premier Brazilian dance troupe, offer a vibrant tour of Brazil's rich and diverse cultural landscape.

Museum admission also includes access to special exhibitions such as Quilts and Color: The Pilgrim/Roy Collection (April 6-July 27, 2014), which features a dedicated Family Guide for kids, and Samba Spirit: Modern Afro Brazilian Art (through October 19, 2014). In the Shapiro Family Courtyard, the installation To Boston With Love displays hundreds of hand-sewn flags sent to Boston from quilters around the world in response to the 2013 Boston Marathon tragedy.

Children 17 and under are free when accompanied by an adult during Vacation Week, and no advance registration is required.
