On Friday, October 4th, 2013 join Ralphie and the gang for a festive night of food and film with a special installment of Reel Chefs, A Christmas Story.

In partnership with Art Week Boston, an inaugural city-wide initiative featuring a collection of curated events and experiences highlighting the quality and diversity of arts, culture, and entertainment in Boston, this month's installment of Reel Chefs will serve as a catalyst for the Christmas spirit with a screening of the 80's comedy classic, A Christmas Story, paired with a thematic three-course menu of small plates prepared by Chef Greg Weinstock of Salvatore's Restaurants.

Hosted by Citi Center CEO, Joe Spaulding, this special edition of Reel Chefs will also preview the upcoming Broadway touring production of, A Christmas Story, The Musical, debuting at the Citi Wang Theatre on November 20th, 2013.

Attendees will be treated to presents galore; including a discount code for the upcoming production and a few other special gifts, along with a special appearance by the infamous Leg Lamp! Honored with three 2013 Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score, A Christmas Story is directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando and choreographed by Warren Carlyle. This new musical based on the classic 1983 movie, which itself was based on stories by legendary radio humorist Jean Shepherd, features funny and heartfelt songs by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul and a faithful yet inventive book by Joseph Robinette.

Reel chefs is a monthly series showcasing dinner and a movie inside the ultra-luxe cinema and presentation space at the Revere Hotel Boston Common, this month's Reel Chefs event will feature Executive Chef Greg Weinstock of Salvatore's Restaurant featuring his Christmas-story themed, three-course menu of small plates!

 

MENU:            

 

1st Course: "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out Ceviche" - bamboo shoot and baby shrimp ceviche

 

2nd Course:  "Christmas Orange Duck" - duck confit with orange glaze served with bok choy and a citrus pork, egg fried rice

 

3rd Course: "Double Dog Dare Brownie Sundae" - double fudge brownie with chocolate ice cream and hot fudge

 

WHEN:  Friday, October 4th at 7:00 pm.  Doors open at 6:30pm
