The MIT Museum celebrates the start of the eighth annual Cambridge Science Festival on Saturday, April 19th.  The week-long festival will highlight the excitement of discovery and the impact of science and technology in all of our lives. Throughout the week, the MIT Museum will host a wide range of science-related activities for young people and adults including hands-on interactive activities, gallery demonstrations, workshops and behind the scene tours.  Visitors may also view the new kinetic art exhibitions, 5000 Moving Parts, and the new photography exhibition, Daguerre's American Legacy: Photographic Portraits from the Wm. B. Becker Collection

Debuting at the Cambridge Science Festival this year will be the Innovations of Cambridge Tour, brought to you by Cambridge Historical Tours. Discover the bridge builders that shaped East Cambridge and watch inquiring minds at work unzipping the secrets of our genes. Walk in the shadow of the world's most productive innovators and see where MIT students play gigantic games of Tetris, park stolen cars at incredible heights, and still find time to invent both Guitar Hero and a biomechatronic foot. Plug yourself into the history being made every day on our Innovations Tour. Just look for the guide in a Lab Coat!
