Big Night is back at Grotto!
On Wednesday, June 25th and Thursday, June 26th at 7pm, join us for an amazing experience!
Big Night is one of our favorite movies at Grotto.
Set in the 1950s, it is a classic story of two Italian brothers, Primo & Secondo, who open an authentic Italian restaurant, but the public wants to dine at the Americanized Italian restaurant across the street, so business is failing. The brothers finally get their chance when the owner of the other restaurant says he will get Louis Prima to come to the brothers' restaurant for dinner.
They spread the word, inviting everyone they know, and tell the press in hopes of an amazing review. The stage is set for Big Night, the feast that Primo prepares is of film lore and guests are awed by the quality of the cuisine - Louis Prima never shows, but the rest is history.
On June 25th and June 26th, Grotto will once again re-create the multi-course Big Night dinner, from timpano to whole roasted pig, Guests are encouraged to dress in fifties-style evening wear to help set the mood!
With house selected wines, the dinner is $75.
If you wish to select your own vintage, dinner is $55.
