The Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Boston is delighted to announce the debut of The Champagne Lounge at Mandarin Oriental, Boston on Thursday, December 3, 2015. Created in partnership with Champagne Taittinger, this exclusive pop-up lounge will be located in the hotel's grand lobby and will blend classic contemporary style with modern Oriental touches. Set amongst the exotic blonde wood paneling and cozy fireplace, the ambiance will be luxurious yet comfortable making it an ideal spot to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, a late-evening nightcap or simply an inviting place to unwind after a busy day in Back Bay.
The Champagne Lounge will feature seasonal New England inspired cuisine paired appropriately with the world's most prestigious champagne. The select menu will include: Oscietra Caviar served with smoked salmon and buckwheat blinis; freshly shucked Oysters du Jour served with a red wine mignonette; Wellfleet countneck clams; classic shrimp cocktail; and petite brioche of Gloucester lobster. In addition, an assortment of macarons and chocolate bonbons from Pastry Chef Robert Differ will provide a sweet finish to this light fared menu.
Champagne Taittinger is one of the last major Champagne Houses to remain owned and actively managed by the family named on the label, giving them ultimate control of quality from vine to bottle. The Champagnes are Chardonnay dominant which gives them elegance, delicacy and finesse. The Champagne Lounge will offer two champagnes by the glass and six will be available by the bottle. In addition, a seasonal selection of hand-crafted Champagne Taittinger Brut La Française cocktails will also be available and include: the Boylston Blizzard vanilla simple syrup, kirsch brandy and luxardo cherry; The Fireplace orange bitters with a splash of orange juice and a citrus peel; Nor'Eastern honey, pear, ginger and fresh sage; the French 776 Angostura, sugar and lemon; and the Mandarin Rosemary Mandarin juice with rosemary syrup.
The Champagne Lounge at Mandarin Oriental, Boston will be able to entertain 25 seated guests or a reception for up to 50. Regular hours of service will be Wednesday to Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to close.
