The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is known as the premier Independence Day celebration in the nation.

Each year, since its inception, hundreds of thousands of people come from all over the country to the banks of the Charles River to celebrate America’s birthday while another seven million tune in nationally on the CBS Television Network to view the event during a live one-hour primetime special.

The Pops Spectacular is the culmination of a day which celebrates Boston’s rich history and incredible collection of institutions and museums:

Exhibits: King’s Chapel, Constitution Museum, Otis House, Old North Church, Copps Hill Burying Ground, Old South Meeting House, State House, Boston Light, Gun Drills

Music:  Wayne Potash, Town Hall Blues Band, DownCityBand, BAHA Brothers, Primal Funk

Tours: Freedom Trail, Paul Revere, Boston’s Waterfront, Historic Pubs, Fort Independence, Johnny Tremain

Cruises:

Join us on Independence Day and follow USS Constitution on her annual underway demonstration out in Boston Harbor. Witness her 21-gun salute to the Nation off Castle Island in South Boston. The USS Constitution Museum is partnering with Charles Riverboat Company and Boston Harbor Cruises to provide a selection of narrated cruises. All cruises include a lunch buffet and cash bar. Classic Harbor Line will also feature a July 4th turnaround cruise of the U.S.S. Constitution, the oldest (1797) actively commissioned naval vessel in the world.
