Bach Mass in B Minor: Sep 27 & 29, 2013 at Symphony Hall
The 199th season opens with Bach''s glorious masterwork, the Mass in B Minor, which features a large period instrument orchestra, chorus, vocal soloists from the H&H choir, and Harry Christophers at the helm. H&H''s acclaimed chorus will dazzle audiences in this extraordinary work by one of the greatest composers of all time.

Mozart and Beethoven: Nov 1 & 3, 2013 at Symphony Hall
Former Music Director Grant Llewellyn returns to H&H for the first time since 2008 to lead the Period Instrument Orchestra in Beethoven''s Symphony No. 2 and Mozart''s Haffner Symphony. The program also features H&H''s concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky and principal players as soloists in Haydn''s virtuosic Sinfonia Concertante.

Handel's Messiah: Nov 29 - Dec 1, 2013 at Symphony Hall
A holiday tradition for 160 years - make it yours!
Join H&H for an outstanding rendition of Handel''s masterwork, performed in the US by H&H in its first concert in 1815. No holiday season is complete without this stunning oratorio.

A Bach Christmas: Dec 19 & 22, 2013 at NEC''s Jordan Hall
Blue Heron music director Scott Metcalfe makes his H&H debut in this festive program featuring Bach''s Cantata 62, which was composed for the first Sunday of Advent, and music from the 17th century German tradition, one of Metcalfe''s specialties.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 4: Jan 24 & 26, 2014 at Symphony Hall
Richard Egarr returns to the stage to treat audiences to Haydn''s final symphony and Beethoven''s Symphony No. 4. Trumpet superstar Alison Balsom makes her H&H debut in Haydn''s groundbreaking concerto.

Vivaldi Gloria: Feb 21 & 23, 2014 at Symphony Hall
Harry Christophers and the Period Instrument Orchestra and Chorus are joined by soprano Nathalie Paulin and members of H&H''s Young Women''s and Young Men''s Choruses for Vivaldi''s Gloria. The program closes with Handel''s inspiring Foundling Hospital Anthem, which ends with the "Hallelujah" chorus from Messiah.

Bach and Byrd: Mar 14 & 16, 2014 at NEC''s Jordan Hall
H&H''s superb chorus shines in a special program of joyful vocal works by J.S. Bach and William Byrd, celebrating their great vocal traditions. Come hear why Harry Christophers and the H&H chorus are considered the finest in New England.

Mendelssohn''s Library: Apr 4, 2014 at NEC''s Jordan Hall and Apr 6, 2014 at Sanders Theatre
Mendelssohn''s extensive personal music library in Leipzig contained works by composers from Handel to Mozart, whose compositions greatly influenced the composer early in his life. Electrifying concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky leads her fellow string players in a chamber program of Baroque and Classical works by these composers.

Handel Samson: May 2 & 4, 2014 at Symphony Hall
Handel''s dramatic oratorio, Samson, features epic instrumental color and sumptuous vocal writing that showcases Handel''s virtuosity. For this stunning season finale, Harry Christophers is joined by an international cast of exceptional singers alongside the Period Instrument Orchestra and Chorus.
