Looking for a perfectly patriotic and uniquely entertaining way to spend your Independence Day this year? BHC, in partnership with the USS Constitution Museum invite you to set sail for an afternoon of sites, history and celebration on our Salute to Freedom Lunch Cruise. Departing from Long Wharf, Boston, this two and a half hour tour is sure to bring your inner patriot to life while you feast on a delicious lunch buffet crafted by Boston’s own Chart House restaurant! Explore the many facets of Boston Harbor’s extraordinary maritime history with expert narration provided by USS Constitution Museum historians and BHC's Director of Narration. Relax and enjoy the views as you hear the accounts and tales of the days of yore, including the vital role that waterfront shipbuilding, the US Navy and the resources of the Harbor itself played in charting Boston’s – and America’s – course toward prosperity and independence. And, what would Independence Day on Boston Harbor be without a chance to pay homage to our local maritime star, “Old Ironsides,” the USS Constitution? Currently in dry dock for a three year restoration project you’ll get an up close look at the world’s oldest commissioned warship afloat, coupled with an insider’s perspective and all the latest information on Constitution’s intricate rehabilitation project, from the experts onboard. It’s the Fourth of July and it’s time to celebrate!
