JoBe: The Musical takes place in the proverbial "Our Town" of Overtown. The minister Anna Bell Thompson (played by Betty Wright) of the First Born, New Born, Non-Denominational, Totally Inspirational, Functionally Congregational Church of Overtown is preaching a sermon on the Book of Job. She tells the story of a man named Jobe in their very own congregation who undergoes a Job experience. This premiere production of JoBe will feature Milton Wright's Grammy-Award-winning sister, the legendary Betty Wright of "Clean Up Woman," "Tonight is the Night" and "No Pain No Gain" fame. JoBe is full of breathtaking music and is coming to Boston September 18, 19, 20, and 21st at Hibernian Hall in Dudley Square.
