THE NEW AQUARIUM EXPERIENCE IS HERE
The Aquarium has renewed its main building to the core, and the iconic Giant Ocean Tank has undergone a top-to-bottom, 21st-century transformation. The new 200,000 gallon exhibit features crystal-clear views of sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and thousands of tropical fishes. Your Aquarium adventure includes bustling penguin colonies, playful seals and the smooth skin of a cownose ray gliding under your fingertips. Complete your journey with Great White Shark 3D or Penguins 3D in IMAX (additional cost). The Aquarium is a treasure trove ready for exploration by families and ocean lovers right in the heart of downtown Boston.

 

SEALS AND SEA LIONS AT PLAY
New Balance Foundation Marine Mammal Center
The seals and sea lions are always at play. Get to know these energetic marine mammals with our special program guide, and learn how you can help them in the wild. Watch California sea lions dart through the water and limber Northern fur seals lope in this beautiful open air exhibit space. Learn about the challenges marine mammals face in the wild, and get a new perspective on fitness with New Balance Foundation Fitness Friday training sessions!.

THE LARGEST SHARK AND RAY TOUCH TANK ON THE EAST COAST
The Trust Family Foundation Shark and Ray Touch Tank features sharks and rays in a mangrove-themed tank surrounded by shallow edges and viewing windows, allowing visitors to experience a close encounter with these animals. Visitors to this new exhibit can reach out and gently touch the back of cownose rays, Atlantic rays and sharks as they swim gracefully through the crystal-clear water. The exhibit presents these incredible species in a way that highlights their importance in a healthy ocean ecosystem. It also emphasizes the value of conserving essential coastal habitats, such as mangroves and lagoons.

GO ON A WHALE WATCH!
Want to see where we keep the really big animals? The New England Aquarium is partnering with Boston Harbor Cruises to give visitors front-row seats to view the ocean''s most fascinating and magnificent animals. Join us! New England Aquarium Whale Watches leave Central Wharf several times a day. Fee: The cost is $45 for adults, $35 for children (3-11), $40 for seniors (64+) and $15 for children under 3.

Sea Squirts classes introduce your child to the wonders of the aquatic world while focusing on their developing motor and language skills and encouraging the development of early science skills such as observation and exploration.

Ongoing activities at the New England Aquarium include Meet and Greet sessions with the Harbor Seals and Northern Fur Seals
