Vera Meyer on the Glass Harmonica

Saturday, February 21, 11:30 am 1:30 pm

Treat your family to the ethereal tones of this fascinating instrument invented by Benjamin Franklin in 1761.  Once believed to cause nervous disorders, marital disputes, convulsions in cats and dogs, and even to wake people from the dead, today all ages may enjoy the glass harmonicas music as it resonates in our spacious hall. Music will range from special works by Mozart and Beethoven to your requests!  Between songs, the musician will answer questions and provide details about the instrument's history.

Included with Museum admission: $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors & college students, $1.00 for children (6-18); free for Old South Meeting House and Paul Revere House members. Old South Meeting House, Museum & Historic Site, 310 Washington Street, Boston MA 02108
