The Mr. Fox Halloween Show

In celebration of Halloween, The Beat is hosting Boston's premier pop band, What Time Is It Mr. Fox? on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014. Named after a Victorian children's game, the band delivers a unique smoky cabaret, neo-soul voice that can time-travel from the woods of Medieval France to New Orleans in the 1930s. From 8:30PM to 12:00AM, the band will give a theatrical performance at The Beat's second annual Halloween bash complete with food, libations, costumes and decked out décor.

Wednesday, October 29th, 2014, 8:30PM-12:00AM. Food and Drink from 4:00PM to 1:00AM.  No cover charge.

Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead Family Event

Families enjoy traditional snacks, crafts and music in specially decorated museum galleries. Create a decorated candy skull or design a message to place upon the altar. Experience the customs that make this Mexican holiday a joyful celebration.  All snacks and activities are free with museum admission; sugar skulls to decorate are $5 each. Curious George is back just in time for candy, costumes, and fun, spooky stories! On October 31st, We will be reading Curious George Goes to A Costume Party and other great Halloween stories. And if you haven't decided on your costume yet, join us for some quick and easy costume masks. Then share some hugs, take pictures, and enjoy treats (no tricks!) with the one and only Curious George. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as Curious George certainly will be.  This event is perfect for children ages 2-6 but everyone is welcome. One ticket is required for each child attending.
