The Beehive Celebrates Easter Sunday with Jazz
The Beehive Opens for Easter Sunday Featuring Brunch, Dinner, Live Music, an Easter Egg Hunt and a Visit from the Easter Bunny!
On Sunday April 20th, 2014 The Beehive is celebrating Easter Sunday with a three-course prix fixe brunch and dinner specials from Executive Chef Marc Orfaly, four live jazz performances all day long, and a special Easter egg hunt made complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny himself!
From 9:30AM to 3:30PM, guests can indulge in a three-course prix fixe brunch beginning with items such as Italian Easter Egg Drop Soup (Stracciatella) or Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs before indulging in the main event with choices that include Eggs Benedict with Ham, Spinach or Short Ribs and Easter classics such as Blackened Crackling Ham with Citrus, Rum and Raisin Sauce, Spring Peas & Whipped Potatoes, and Roast Leg of Lamb with Mint Pesto, Spring Peas & Whipped Potatoes. The three course meal is $42.95 per person and includes choice of coffee or tea (tax and gratuity not included). For kids ten and under, The Beehivehas a “Little Bee’s Kids Menu” ($14.95) to order from before they scurry off to partake in the annual Easter egg hunt or take a photo with the Easter Bunny from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
Throughout the afternoon guest’s brunch will be complemented by the smooth sounds of Latin Jazz artist Renato Malavasi from 10:00AM to 1:00PM and world jazz performer Lefteris Kordis from 1:30PM to 4:30PM.
For the late risers, The Beehive is serving Easter Dinner from 4:00PM-1:00AM featuring a la carte Easter specials served alongside The Beehive’s traditional menu including favorites such as Braised Short Rib ($22), Roast Blue Cod with spinach butter, mashed potatoes & peas ($24) and Duck Au Poivre with schmaltz fried rice, mustard pickles and sauce Diane ($27). For Boston Marathon runners, fuel up on carbs with carbo-loaded pasta specials such as the delicious Grilled Shrimp and Potato Gnocchi with toasted walnuts, sautéed zucchini ($26) and Sunday Supper Pasta with meatballs and braised short rib ($22). All day long guests can get in the spirit with signature cocktails such as the Queen Bee with Skyy vodka, fresh grapefruit, St. Germaine and champagne ($12.50), Valentino Martini with Ketel One vodka, blood orange, and passion fruit ($12) and the Old Barrel made with Old Barrel Vodka, Absinthe and fresh orange ($11.50).
All evening long guests can jam out to live jazz performances beginning at 5:00PM with a set from modern jazz trumpeter Phil Grenadier. From 8:00PM to 12:00AM The Beehive’s “Sunday Night Blues Series” will round off the night with an all-star house blues band led by 25-year musical veteran keyboardist and producer, Bruce Bears.
