Heritage Museums & Gardens celebrates American culture and inspires people of all ages to explore, discover and learn together. Located on 100 acres of gardens and nature trails, Heritage holds a significant collection of specialty gardens, water features, and sculpture. Hidden Hollow, an interactive family-friendly area, allows for exploration of the natural world and learning about the environment. Heritage boasts three gallery buildings housing automobiles, American folk art, historical artifacts, a vintage carousel, and special exhibitions. For the 2013 season, the featured exhibition will be “Driving Our Dreams: Imagination in Motion” which explores the innovative world of motordom.
Discounted admission is available for adult leisure and motor coach groups of 20 or more. Groups may choose to explore the galleries and grounds on a self-guided tour (2 hours recommended) or enhance their visit with docent-led guided tours or on-site workshops and lectures (as scheduled). Heritage Museums & Gardens welcomes students of all ages. Self-guided tours, themed Guided Tours and hands-on Discovery Workshops that include educational programming are available options.
Reservations are accepted at least two weeks prior to date of visit and may be made by phone, email or via website reservation form. There is no deposit required, however, a final count is due 14 days prior to visit and full payment is required upon arrival. Student Guided Tours and Discovery Workshops require a minimum of 10 students and can accommodate a maximum of 30 students. There is a 1:10 ratio for chaperones and are admitted free of charge. Admission for additional adults is available at the adult group rate. Pre- and post-field trip materials are available for download from the Heritage Museums & Gardens website.
