The Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston's mile and half of contemporary parks, offers a variety of free events all summer long! Along with beautiful gardens, and fun fountains, you can find exercise classes, a weekday farmers' market, a weekend artisan market, art exhibitions, horticulture tours and all sorts of free fun activities.
The Greenway is free and open to the public every day from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm and invites you to spend that time strolling through its five distinct parks relaxing, frolicking in the grass, and perhaps grabbing a bite to eat from the many food trucks stationed throughout the Greenway.
During summer 2013, the Rose Kennedy Greenway will be constructing a custom one-of-a-kind permanent carousel. Filled with creatures from the Boston area, this carousel will be a fun attraction for the whole family. The new carousel will have its grand opening on August 31, 2013. Please visit the Rose Kennedy Greenway’s official site for all their latest events and news.
