The GBCVB provides free footage of Boston to media. Footage includes Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, Massachusetts State House on Beacon Hill, Paul Revere House in the North End, Fenway Park (exterior), Chinatown, Boston Marathon, Boston Duck Tour on the Charles River, Beacon Hill brownstones, July 4th fireworks, Swan Boats in the lagoon at the Public Garden, Ice Skating on Boston Common, Logan International Airport, Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Hynes Convention Center, and more.
To request the Boston B-roll, please email the GBCVB
your mailing address and phone number and specify when you need the footage, for what intended purpose, and whether your prefer a DVD or mini-DV copy. B-roll is shipped by USPS Priority Mail within the US and by Fed-Ex to international destinations (in most cases). If you need the footage sent overnight, be sure to include your company's Fed Ex number. Otherwise, allow 3-5 business days to receive the footage. All mini-DV tapes are the property of the GBCVB and must be returned to the GBCVB promptly after completion of your project. For those still working in Beta, B-roll footage is available in the following formats: Beta SP, Digital Beta, HD Cam (High Definition Beta), and PAL BetaCam SP. Due to the fact that this footage is older that the footage available on the abovementioned DVD, we suggest that it be used for timeless images of the city rather than for crowd and street scenes. Use with discretion.
