The National Park Service offers several tours in Boston to celebrate the city's historical landmarks and anniversaries. Please see some of the options below:
USS Cassin Young
USS Cassin Young is open for main deck visits (weather permitting) from 10 am to 4 pm daily. Forty-five minute guided tours that bring visitors to areas of the ship not normally open to the public are conducted daily at 11 am, 2 pm and 3 pm. USS Cassin Young is in dry dock for much needed repair and restoration work. Although the ship will be closed, visitors will be able to see the ship in Dry Dock One and watch the work progress.
USS Constitution
Tuesday - Sunday: Tours every 30 minutes ending at 3:30 pm. Main Deck open until 6 pm. All visitors are required to go through a screening process. It is a good idea to arrive at least a half-hour early to allow time to get through our security tent. As a reminder, all items currently banned from federal buildings and airports will not be allowed on board Old Ironsides, including guns, mace, and any sharp objects such as razors, knives, pocket knives, Swiss Army knives, "Leatherman" type tools, scissors, letter openers, etc.
Bunker Hill Monument:
For reservations call 617-242-5689. Free admission. Keep in mind that the monument is very busy during the spring season and there is often a long wait to climb the monument.
Faneuil Hall
:
The City of Boston owns Faneuil Hall. The 1st floor marketplace is open daily. The 2nd floor Great Hall is sometimes closed for a private function. When the Great Hall is open to the public, park rangers are in the Hall daily presenting 15 minute talks every half-hour from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We do not take reservations for the Hall; however the Old South Meeting House offers a program, Tea is Brewing (program fee.) This program starts at Faneuil Hall with a park ranger then ends at Old South Meeting House debating the Tea Act of 1773. If the Hall is closed during this program, the ranger conducts the program in the 1st floor market area.
