Begins: Sunday, April 1, 2012
Ends: Tuesday, December 31, 2013

The newly renovated Charles Hayden Planetarium at the Museum of Science is the most technologically advanced digital theater in New England. Powered by superior full-dome video and audio systems and a new state-of-the-art star projector, this facility brilliantly showcases our new original show, Undiscovered Worlds: The Search Beyond our Sun.

Current Showings:

Cosmis Collisions: Experience this thrilling trip through space and time - well beyond the calm face of the night sky - to explore cosmic collisions, the hypersonic impacts that drive the dynamic and continuing evolution of the universe.

Explore the Universe: Live!: Leave the Earth behind and take off with a Planetarium educator as your star pilot. Fly through the solar system, Milky Way, and beyond as you explore cosmic mysteries, see how objects interact in space, and hear about missions that are helping us understand the universe today.

Fractals Rock: Experience the infinite as you dive into the beautiful, complex world of fractals. This immersive and hypnotic phenomenon for the eyes and ears draws you into intricate fractal patterns, exploring a realm where math, science, art, and music intersect.

The Sky Tonight Live!: Discover the beauty and wonder of the night sky that has fascinated humanity for millennia. With an astronomy expert as your guide, find seasonal stars, constellations, and planets visible from New England. It's the next best thing to being out under the stars!

Undiscoverd Worlds: The Search Beyond Our Sun: Through the discovery of exoplanets - the hundreds of planets that have been found orbiting stars beyond the Sun - we have learned that our solar system is not alone in the universe, and we have had to redefine our understanding of planets and solar systems.
