Every day, the Museum of Science offers a number of live demonstrations, most of which are free with Exhibit Halls admission. Please see the Daily Schedule. A current listing of live presentations is below:

Behind the Headline: Mysterious Mercury (Live Presentation)
As our observations of Mercury have become more sophisticated, advancing from the naked eye to telescopes to satellites, the planet has continued to intrigue and surprise us. Even with our recent, detailed investigation using NASA's most advanced technology, Mercury has become more mysterious.

Cool Concepts: Mind Games & Optical Illusions (Live Presentation)
Volunteers from the audience participate in demonstrations that reveal how the brain can be tricked. See the world the way it really isn't, and investigate how our senses trick us. Visit the exhibit Seeing Is Deceiving before or after this presentation.

Design Challenges (Live Presentation)
This live Museum offering is designed to introduce students and visitors to the engineering design cycle. By participating in a hands-on activity to design, build, and test a prototype solution to a given problem, visitors have a fun and engaging experience with engineering and innovation processes.

Hands-on Laboratory (Live Presentation)
The Hands-On Laboratory is a fun, interactive learning laboratory program that encourages visitors of all ages to explore a variety of topics in the sciences - from chemistry to genetics to nanotechnology to microbiology.

Lightning! (Live Presentation)
Indoor bolts produced by the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaff generator spark exciting explorations of lightning, electric charge, and storm safety.

Live Animal Presentation (Live Presentation)
Explore the adaptation, behaviors, and ecology of animals, as well as the environments they live in, with the furry, feathered, and scaly residents of our Live Animal Center.
