Ends: Saturday, October 27, 2012

The keynote speaker for this year's Boston Book Festival event is celebrated novelist Richard Ford, and the kid's keynote speaker is Lemony Snicket. The fourth annual festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in various locations around Copley Square. Both keynotes will take place at Old South Church, and times are to be determined. Events are free and open to the public.

Festival events include presentations and panels featuring internationally-known writers, scholars, critics, and commentators; programming for children, teens, and families; writing workshops and competitions; outdoor booths; and poetry and music performances. All daytime events are FREE and open to the public. Featured authors represent a wide array of programming, and include award winners, best-selling authors, renowned scholars, children's writers, and writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

The Boston Book Festival is produced by the nonprofit organization of the same name and is made possible with the generous support of individual donors and sponsors, including Presenting Partner 90.9 WBUR, as well as Good Measures, Other Press, Simmons College, Hachette Book Group, Plymouth Rock, Blurb, Inc.
