The keynote speaker for this year's Boston Book Festival event is celebrated novelist
Richard Ford, and the kid's keynote speaker is
Lemony Snicket. The fourth annual festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in various locations around Copley Square. Both keynotes will take place at Old South Church, and times are to be determined. Events are free and open to the public.
Festival events include presentations and panels featuring internationally-known writers, scholars, critics, and commentators; programming for children, teens, and families; writing workshops and competitions; outdoor booths; and poetry and music performances. All daytime events are FREE and open to the public. Featured authors represent a wide array of programming, and include award winners, best-selling authors, renowned scholars, children's writers, and writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
