Music for Food presents 2012-2013 season:
DvoÅák and Chansons Extraordinaire
Music for Food returns for another season of working to end hunger through the power of classical music. This year, international performing artists join together with Boston's most inspired young artists to play chamber works of Antonin DvoÅák and songs from Chausson to Argentinian folk music.
Growing out of a core belief that both music and food are essential for human life and growth, Music For Food will offer four donation only concerts raising funds and awareness to fight against hunger in the greater Boston community. Our audience participates in the circle of giving and sharing music by donating the cost of "Dinner for Two" to the Greater Boston Food Bank. In turn, musicians and audiences alike work together to help bring relief to the shocking 18% of children going hungry in our community today.
