The Boston Wine Expo, New England's premiere wine exposition, has transformed from a two-day event into a week-long celebration of wine, food and culture. This year the expo will introduce all-new event features and program highlights, starting with a new date! The Boston Wine Expo has moved to February and will take place between Valentine's Day and the long President's Day weekend, giving guests double the reason to celebrate. Additional features to this year's event include a VIP Tasting Experience, Social Media Lounge and an expanded Mobile App.
Headlining the locally-loved lineup are nationally-renowned chefs, Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger and Blue Dragon and Barbara Lynch of Sportello, No. 9 Park, Menton, B&G Oysters, and The Butcher Shop. Additional appearances include Chris Douglass of Ashmont Grille and Tavolo; Jose Duarte of Taranta; Dan Enos of Oceanaire Seafood Room; Richard Garcia of 606 Congress; Andy Husbands of Sister Sorel and Tremont 647; Kevin Long of Empire, Tosca and Red Lantern; Pino Maffeo of Lucia; Dante de Magistris of Restaurant Dante; Richard Rayment of Seaport World Trade Center; Robert Tobin of Aura; Roseann Tully of Intermezzo Magazine and Josh Ziskin of LaMorra.
The seminar series will be hosted by some of the most knowledgeable professionals in the industry including Jean-Charles Boisset & Gina Gallo, Wine Spectator's Gloria Maroti Frazee, and TJ Douglas. Attendees can also partner up to enjoy interactive seminars such as; "Jeopardy! Italian Wine Style!" for a fun game show style quiz.
The Grand Tasting will feature over 200 wineries from over 15 countries as well as culinary creations from the area's most popular restaurants and live celebrity chef demonstrations.
