It's our favorite time of the year. No, not Christmas; although we are pretty fond of that one. Actually, it's chocolate season at Old Town Trolley Tours of Boston and St. Augustine. January is when these two scrumpdillyicious begin playing havoc with our New Year's diet plans. But who can resist chocolate?
Old Town Trolley Tours of Boston has their Original Boston Chocolate tour running now through April 30. The three-hour tour departs on Saturdays at 11 am and 12:15 pm and takes guests on a flavorful journey into the history of chocolate in Boston, which is home to the Boston Crème Pie, Tollhouse cookies and hot fudge sundaes. Of course there are samples and tastings at some of Boston's sweet spots.
Fun for all ages and especially those with a sweet tooth! As you travel between each decadent destination, our tour conductors will share the history, myths and legends of chocolate as well as mouthwatering chocolate trivia.
The Chocolate Tour is by advance reservation only and can be made by calling 617-269-7150.
