There are loads of fun things for families to do throughout Boston. Many are free (such as the massive Outside the Box performing arts festival being held July 13 to 21), while others cost money. Spending money to have fun is unavoidable, but we can at least help you save some of your hard-earned cash. Just head on over to our Kids Love Boston page and print out the Boston ValuePASS. It's your ticket to discounts and deals around our fair city.

For example, just flash the pass at the Franklin Park Zoo's ticket window and receive a free child admission with the purchase of an adult admission. Pretty nifty, huh? Or show your pass to the folks at the Liberty Fleet of Tall Ships, and one child per paying adult gets to ride for free on all regular afternoon sails, such as the Boston Tea Party Reenactment.

There are over 70 special offers in all, including attractions, restaurants (how about introducing your kids to the joys of a traditional New England Clambake for only $19.95 at McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant?), and retail shop discounts (including a bunch of deals at The Shops at Prudential Center). The summer Boston ValuePASS is good through October 31, 2013.
