Tickets are so scarce for the Broadway production of The Book of Mormon, it seems you need to be on a first-name basis with God to score some seats. A touring production of the hit show is headed to the Boston Opera House in April, and those tickets are rare commodities as well. But I discovered a compelling, if pricey, package that combines choice seats to the show with Red Sox tickets and other goodies. Presented by Broadway Across America, The Boston Experience offers a weekend filled with fun, including hotel accommodations, a journey aboard the Boston Duck Tours land/sea vehicles, a performance by the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall, and a guided walking tour along Boston's Freedom Trail.

The weekend concludes at Fenway Park with the Sox taking on the Houston Astros. I'm not going to lie to you. Our beloved baseball club had a bit of a disappointing season last year. OK, I lied to you. They had a fairly atrocious season. The Sox could use some divine intervention, Mormon or otherwise, this year.

Fun Boston fact: One of the world's most famous Mormons, Mitt Romney, served as Massachusetts governor for one term starting in 2003. The Boston Experience April 26 to 29, 2013 Packages start at $1493 per person
