Patriots’ Day is Lexington Day. The events of that morning in April, 1775 are an integral part of the DNA of our town and have been marked with remembrance since 1776 and with celebration at least since the Centennial in 1875. That year there were so many people who came to see President Grant and the parade that it was difficult to move through the town.

The world's largest annual marathon, The Boston Marathon, will be held on Patriots' Day, April 15, 2024.
