Boston has been selected as a top US destination in Condé Nast Traveler's 32nd annual Readers’ Choice Awards. The 2019 Readers' Choice Awards surveyed a record 600,000 registered voters to select their favorite American cities. Due to the immense volume of feedback, they created two lists to recognize smaller cities and bigger cities. Boston ranked #3 on the Big Cities list.
From the Awards editorial committee: "For one of the oldest cities in the United States, Boston sure has aged with style. For a quick refresher on our nation’s history, walk the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route along a string of historic sites that takes you through the country’s founding. Other activities worth adding to your itinerary include slurping up oysters at Neptune, visiting the eclectic salon-style art display at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and catching a ball game at Fenway Park. Just be sure to learn the words to "Sweet Caroline" before you go."
