You know it’s October when pumpkin-themed events populate the calendar - giant pumpkins, pumpkin beer, pumpkin parties, pumpkin outfits. .. it’s a seasonal motif and people just can’t get their fill. Lucky for those pumpkin-lovin’ folks, City Tap House in Boston’s Seaport District is teaming up with Smuttynose Brewing company to host an extraordinary pumpkin-themed bash this Saturday, October 20.
The event is called Pumpkin Smash 2018 and it will feature a gargantuan gourd filled with Smuttynose’s autumnal pumpkin brew. That’s right, a giant pumpkin functioning as a keg, pouring out delicious pumpkin beer. And there’s more, including 10 other pumpkin beers on draft, pumpkin pancakes, and The Drunken Pumpkin martini comprised of pumpkin vodka, ginger liquor, cinnamon sugar and more. As if you’ll need more entertainment, the Royal Furs will play live music from 12pm-4pm.
Be sure to follow along and participate in some social media fun promoting this event (follow @citytapboston and @smuttynosebeer). The palatial pumpkin gets carved this Friday night at City Tap House, which will make for some fabulous Instas. And throughout the Seaport District this week there will be Smuttynose labeled pumpkins randomly arranged. If you find one, make sure to snap a photo and post it with the tag #SmumpkinSmash and be entered to win a $100 City Tap Gift Card and some great swag from Smuttynose.
