Through the end of September, visitors to Boston's Rose Kennedy Greenway can view The Fence, a massive outdoor art installation featuring the work of new photographers. Extending more than a city block, the photos are arranged on white canvas covering an eight-foot tall, 450-foot long fence. The photos represent the work of artists from around the world and depict people from a wide variety of countries and cultures. They offer an opportunity to see life in nearby as well as faraway, often remote places
Until May 29, visitors can also enter three shipping containers on the Greenway that display additional photographs. Among the exhibits are one portraying a tribe of pygmy women and another featuring travel photos from Air Canada's enRoute magazine. Admission is free to enter the containers as well as to view The Fence.
