James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® comes to Boston!
From February 6-8, Boston will welcome the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® presented by Capital One for a weekend of delicious food and thought-provoking conversation surrounding the non-profit’s mission of cultivating a better food world for all.
Spotlighting issues within the Foundation’s Good Food for Good™ platform, including food waste reduction, sustainability, inclusivity and chef advocacy, the seventh annual cross-country food series will highlight the organization’s mission-forward impact programs and initiatives, while dishing out tasty bites to the food-loving community of Boston.
Taste America’s weekend in Boston will kick off with Raising the Bar, a cocktail party focusing on inclusion and diversity in the Boston food and beverage scene, on Thursday, February 6 at the Boston Public Market. Delicious bites and fun cocktails will be served up by top local mixologists and chefs including: Irene Li of Mei Mei, Cecelia Lizotte of Suya Joint, Josue Louis of Bistro du Midi, Tatiana Rosana of Outlook Kitchen, Ellie Tiglao of Tanám, Kyisha Davenport of Tanám, Cairo Kironyo of Lolita Cucina and Tequila Bar and Ezra Star of Drink. In addition to having one-on-one interactions with the chefs and mixologists, attendees will receive practical and delicious tips and guidance on how they can help build a better and sustainable food world, starting in their own home.

Taste America Benefit Dinner
Taste America will continue into Friday, February 7 with a benefit dinner at the State Room. Featuring a menu crafted by Taste America Visiting All-Star Elizabeth Falkner, Local All-Star Tony Messina, Host Chef David Blessing, and an esteemed lineup of local culinary talent, the dinner will celebrate the diverse flavors, cuisines, and backgrounds that contribute to American cooking.

The weekend will conclude with an industry facing Culinary Lab designed to highlight the Foundation’s sustainability initiatives.
