Gingerbread House Competition
Hiding in kitchens all over New England are fabulous Master Pastry Chefs who have been enticed into the spotlight to create Sweet Real Estate Deals and Dreams. How many Necco wafers does it take to create a roof on a Swiss chalet? How much green frosting to create a Forest of Pine trees? And how much caramelized sugar to make a whole cathedral of windows? Hours of drawing and hours of planning are needed to create these masterpieces. Come and see who won Best Decoration, Kids Choice, Most Creative and Best in Show.
Housing Families, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending family homelessness, is the beneficiary of the sale of these creations. Most are bought by generous Boston corporations.
