Great Good Fine Ok, New York’s sensational indie pop and synth pop artists are bringing their signature sounds to Brighton Music Hall!
Great Good Fine Ok was formed in Brooklyn in 2013 by Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman. They’re both from New York and the day after they first met, they wrote their first song, You’re the One for Me. It wasn’t long before it went viral online and hit #1 on Hype Machine (a music blog aggregator) twice in the same month. Jon’s dancefloor falsetto blended with Luke lush production skills instantly established their sound and they released their debut extended play Body Diamond soon after. Their musical style falls under the genres of synth pop (also known as techno pop; subgenre of new wave music that rose to prominence in the late 1970s and features the synthesizer as the dominant musical instrument) and indie pop. Music blog Indie Shuffle had this to say about the duo: I dare you to find another group in the past two years who has been so prolific and consistent with their releases while at the same time delivering some of the most heavenly signature falsetto vocals known to man. The duo have expanded the line up and the band now consists of Jon (vocals), Luke (keyboards, keytar, and MalletKat MIDI percussion controller), Carey Clayton (guitar), and Danny Wolf (drums)
