It’s summer at the MFA!

Join us for art and entertainment, in the daytime or in the evening, indoors and outdoors. Open 7 days a week, and with kids visiting free all summer long, you’ll find something for everyone.

The season starts with special exhibitions celebrating “The Summer of Love,” Boston’s beloved Champion and MVP, Big Papi in “David Ortiz: King of the Diamond,” and “Follow the North Star: Inuit Art from the Collection of Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh.”

Looking to keep the kids engaged this summer? With our monthly Playdates program, Family Art Cart, and guided tours the kids will walk away with memories and an artful souvenir.

Evenings heat up this summer, with our annual Concerts in the Courtyard starting on July 5. Bring a blanket and a basket and enjoy worldly tunes under the stars. If a more relaxed evening is in the cards, join us for our new summer film series, Sunset Cinema kicking off July 13 and launching a Boston favorite, the French Film Festival.

And don’t miss our season of special events and Community Days, including Juneteenth, Canada Day, and Free Fun Friday.
