The largest New England film festival dedicated to celebrating films by, for, and about people of color, the 19th Annual Roxbury International Film Festival gives voice to diverse cultures both local and worldwide screening narrative, documentary, youth and experimental films. This year’s festival includes Tatyana Bronstein’s Make Me Dance, a documentary exploring the Boston Conservatory, one of the country’s most prestigious dance schools. The film follows the in-house residency of Harlem-born choreographer Darrell Moultrie as he crafts his new work, Winds of Now, for young dance students, while working to break the standards of body type that still constrain the world of ballet.
