The Church of the Presidents is the only building in the United States to house the final resting place of two Presidents. President John Adams, First Lady Abigail Adams, their son President John Quincy Adams and Louisa Catherine Adams are interred in the family crypt underneath the front entrance to the building.
United First Parish Church sits in the heart of historic Quincy Center, directly across from the old City Hall and the Hancock Cemetery. Completed in 1828, this historic church is the fourth home to the first and longest continuously functioning congregation in the community. The building was designed by Alexander Parris, and is constructed with Quincy granite, much it donated from the Adams family quarry. The building was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1970, and is considered one of the finest examples a Greek Revival style church in New England.
