Massachusetts 400 Commemorations

Starting in 2020, Massachusetts enters a decade of monumental commemorations, marking the 250th anniversary of European settlement of Massachusetts Bay.  The great confluence of cultures coming into contact for the first time was essentially a trans-Atlantic story of exchange, encounter, exploration, endurance, hardship, and loss.  This story altered the course of world history and ushered in the modern era.

Across the Commonwealth, dozens of communities, cities and towns will commemorate this anniversary with special events, educational programming, reenactments and workshops. Bookmark this page and check back often for updates!
