Virtual Boston Pride: Commemorating 50 Years of Pride
Boston Pride has organized a series of virtual events for the month of June that will bring LGBTQ people together to commemorate 50 years of Pride in Boston, to honor the network of care that comprises LGBTQ community, and to celebrate the always fabulous and multi-faceted expressions of LGBTQ culture.
Pride Plans for 2021
Boston is always out and always welcoming, and you’re invited to celebrate Boston’s annual Boston Pride Week from June 4 – June 13, 2021. A two-week festival bringing people together, stirring the mind, shaking up the dance floor, creating safe spaces, and fostering inclusivity, equality, respect and awareness.
Pride Week hosts over 30 events from Family Movie, Paint and Comedy Nights to Lectures & Discussions, and the Flagship Flag Raising, Parade, Concert and Festival at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and City Hall Plaza.
2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. The Stonewall Riots took place in New York’s Greenwich Village from June 28—July 1, 1969, and mark a turning point toward equality.
