The Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with the Boston Hospitality Partners are thrilled to welcome the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council to Boston. A lot has changed here recently, so be prepared to be introduced to a new Boston. Our Waterfront is booming with restaurants and harbor walks, our museums have expanded and our hotels have renovated. But not to worry, our mix of colonial charm and urban sophistication still shines through making Boston a dynamic site for meetings of all kind.
Even though Boston is one of the largest cities in the country, its accessibility is unparalleled. And while it's easy to see the sights on foot, Boston also has an excellent public transportation system. In addition to everything within the city limits, some of Massachusetts' most scenic and historic towns are just a short distance from the city center and its proximity to other must-see sites all around New England, make it one of the country's most diverse and exciting locations.
On behalf of the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC), we cordially invite you to attend our 2019 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held on March 25-28, 2019 at the Boston Park Plaza in Boston, MA, and is open to everyone.
The 2019 Annual Meeting is the only time that all ITRC members convene to promote best environmental practices and further the work of the organization. For the last three years, we have hosted nearly 400 environmental professionals from state environmental agencies; U.S. EPA, U.S. DOE, U.S. DOD, and other federal agencies; industry; and NGOs. This year's theme, Stewards of Environmental Innovation, will focus on leading the environmental community towards adopting innovative environmental technologies and processes.
We expect ITRC Team participation to be high this year as we look at new topics: 1,4-Dioxane, Harmful Cyanobacterial Blooms (HCBs), and Incremental Sampling Methodology (ISM). We also will continue our three large Teams from last year: PFAS, Implementing the Use of Advanced Site Characterization Tools, and Optimizing In Situ Remediation Performance & Injection Strategies.
Meeting activities include:
