Artisan Bistro and Avery Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston are Sweet on Family Reach for Valentine's Day 2017
Artisan Bistro and Avery Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston not only look forward to Valentine's Day this year, but also to helping families with cancer manage the overwhelming financial and emotional barriers of the disease. That's why Kerry Levesque, Pastry Supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, has come up with a "sweet" idea that's sure to warm the hearts of many while helping families in need this Valentine's Day.
For five delicious days, effective Friday, February 10 through Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 50% of all dessert proceeds from the sale of every dessert sold in Artisan Bistro and Avery Bar, will benefit Family Reach here in Boston. That means $5.00 from every $10.00 dessert sold will help families struggling with the financial burden of cancer. Working in close collaboration with a network of more than 200 hospitals and cancer centers nationwide, Family Reach provides financial navigation and coaching, assistance, education and awareness to qualified families in need.
In addition to the desserts already on the menu -- Popsicles, Molten Lava Cake, Creme Brûlée, French Cheesecake, Sorbets, Gelatos and a signature Ritz-Carlton Grand Marnier Ganache and Orange Confit cake -- Kerry has also created a special signature dessert exclusively for Family Reach for Valentine's Day. She calls it "Vanilla Velvet" and it's a petit entremet (small cake) with layers of cocoa flan, cherry puree, almond Bavarian cream, vanilla bean short bread and Early Grey crumble.
