Boston's official Freedom Trail® tours take you to places where history was made! Walk Into History® along the iconic Freedom Trail – the 2.5-mile red line leading to 16 nationally significant historic sites, each one an authentic treasure – with the Freedom Trail Foundation. Preserved and dedicated by the citizens of Boston in 1951, the Freedom Trail is a unique collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond. Led by 18th-century costumed Freedom Trail Foundation Players®, a variety of tours are offered featuring tales of high treason, mob agitations, revolutionary actions, and partisan fights of the American Revolution and beyond. Tickets for Foundation-led daily public walking tours may be purchased at the Visitor Information Center on Boston Common, ArtsBoston Booth at Faneuil Hall, Old Town Trolley locations and ticket booths, Cheers retail gift shop at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and online at TheFreedomTrail.org – tickets are discounted when purchased online, and include a $1 donation to the Freedom Trail Foundation’s Preservation Fund. All tours are available for private tours year-round by appointment and are perfect for tour groups, families, birthday parties, company outings, corporate activities, team building, and more.
