The Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston's mile and half of contemporary parks, offers a variety of free events all summer long! Along with beautiful gardens, and fun fountains, you can find exercise classes, a weekday farmers' market, a weekend artisan market, art exhibitions, horticulture tours and all sorts of free fun activities.
The Greenway is free and open to the public every day from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm and invites you to spend that time strolling through its five distinct parks relaxing, frolicking in the grass, and perhaps grabbing a bite to eat from the many food trucks stationed throughout the Greenway. The Rose Kennedy Greenway offers a custom one-of-a-kind permanent carousel. Filled with creatures from the Boston area, the carousel is a fun attraction for the whole family. The greenway also features “The Z” - Boston’s new zipline starting from Clinton Street and landing near North Street, across from The Greenway's North End Parks. With two parallel cords, riders soar alongside each other (or race!). From the top of the 30-foot tower riders have a unique view of downtown Boston, the waterfront, and The Greenway!
The Greenway is fully wheelchair accessible. The Greenway Carousel is wheelchair accessible as well. For more information visit rosekennedygreenway.org.
