Many restaurants attempt to evoke the country their cuisine hails from with simply a few scenic pictures and pieces of decor. Tangierino, on the other hand, goes all out to make guests feel as if they're dining in a French Moroccan brasserie in a hot Moroccan city. Here, thick crimson velvet curtains, gauzy drapes, and glowing lanterns hang above luxe leather booths, creating an intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a romantic dinner for couples or Batman and Superman. Elsewhere in Tangierino, metal chandeliers, flickering candles, and even more lanterns cast a soft glow on white-clothed tables and camel-colored leather chairs displaying intricately carved designs on their backs.
The eatery is not just a feast for the eyes. Scents waft from traditional tagines and short ribs braised with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a reduction of prunes. French dishes abound here, too, including boeuf bourguignon and steak frites with black-truffle sauce.
