Overseas visitation to Boston (excluding Canada and Mexico) has increased 100% between 2005-2015, and rose 14% from 2014 to 2015.
Robust growth in Chinese visitation has driven the increase in international visitors. Boston Logan International Airport now offers direct service to 53 international locations.
Visitation from China has increased 54% since 2011 and 570% since 2007.
While overseas visitors only represent 7% of overall visitation to Boston they account for more almost 12% of tourism spending.
