What is the mission of the GBCVB?
The GBCVB is a not-for-profit sales and marketing organization that promotes and markets Greater Boston to enhance the area's economy through the visitor and convention industries. We work to attract conventions and visitors to the Boston area utilizing direct sales and marketing, the promotion of special events, the coordination of sales trips to major market centers and various other marketing programs and activities. Why should I become a member? How can I join?
The GBCVB provides you with valuable resources, networking opportunities, leads, and listings that put you front of millions of conventioneers and visitors as well as your hospitality industry partners. What is the cost to join?
Annual membership dues are based on a few factors such as the size, location, and category of your company. We will review your company or organization based on this information to assess your membership rate. Contact Kamilla Carmignani, Director of Membership Development to learn more.
What forms of payment does the GBCVB accept?
We accept Master Card, VISA, American Express and checks payable to the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
When does my membership begin?
Your membership is activated once we receive your application and payment is processed. Membership is valid for one year from the month you join and renews on your anniversary month.
Once my membership is activated, what is the next step?
You will receive a welcome email with login information as well as a membership packet in the mail that will include a copy of our current publications member benefits and member access reference sheet. You will begin receiving our monthly membership newsletter and open house invitations.
How will I be notified about member events?
Monthly Open House information and a link to rsvp to the event is included in our monthly member newsletters, individual event eBlasts and can be found in the Member Access section of our website.
Will the GBCVB promote my events, special offers, and news for me?
Yes, as a member, we will promote your events on our BostonUSA calendar and in our weekly events highlights that go out to all the concierges in the City. We will list your special offers in the “Great Deals” section of our website. We will also share your events, news and offers through our social channels and media outlets. This is all included free with your membership!
How can my restaurant participate in Dine Out Boston?
If you are not currently a GBCVB member, please contact us about joining so you can participate in this twice a year program (March & August).
