Boston is a shopaholic’s dream! Start in the Back Bay, home to high-end Copley Place, The Prudential Center, and of course Newbury Street. Premium designer brands abound, from Chanel and Gucci, to Michael Kors, Dior, and Burberry. Newbury Street stretches 8 blocks and is also home to art galleries, antique shops, salons and cafes.
On the eastern end of the Back Bay you will find Charles Street in the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood. Here, you can appreciate the Federalist Era architecture while window shopping and exploring antiques, galleries and boutiques.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace is an amazing outdoor/indoor gallery of shopping. It features over 70 shops and Bull Market unique pushcarts. The Quincy Market Colonnade offers infinite choices among the food vendors, restaurants and pubs.
Downtown Crossing presents shoppers with over 300 retail establishments. Top favorites include Macy*s, America’s iconic department store for the latest fashion brands and home products, and the flagship store of Primark for the latest trends at amazing prices.
Across the river more shopping is available in Harvard Square and the multi-level Cambridgeside Galleria. And beyond Boston the outlet malls beckon. Assembly Row is quick ride on the Orange Line and is home to some 40 stores and a dozen restaurants. Head south to Legacy Place, an open-air shopping, dining entertainment destination, the Wrentham Premium Outlets, New England’s largest outlet center or Patriot’s Place, which affords visitors a multitude of shopping, dining and entertainment options. Or head north to Kittery Outlets just over the border in Maine.
